Comment
The genetic determinants of anthocyanin pigmentation of various tissues are largely located in homoeologous regions in group 7, viz. 7BS (Rc-B1, Pc-B1, Plb-B1, Pls-B1) and 7DS (Rc-D1, Pc-d1, Plb-D1), and appear to be linked clusters rather than multiple alleles on each chromosome. Their relationship with genes for purple auricle and purple pericarp are still not clear.
