Abstract
As a result of studying the world winter wheat collection, specimens of cultivars with economically valuable traits and properties were chosen to serve as the initial material for creating new winter wheat cultivars for the forest steppe conditions of Western Siberia (Russia). Valuable initial material, which is being studied in all links of the breeding process, was created. A number of cultivars were prepared for submitting to state variety testing
