Abstract
The polymorphism of storage proteins was analysed in some strains of winter triticale resistant to preharvest sprouting in comparison with sprouting-susceptible cultivar Bogo. Based on the electrophoretic analysis, differences in subunits composition of storage proteins were observed between the resistant strains and Bogo with regard to both gliadins and glutenins. These differences may be genetically associated with variability of the studied trait. It suggests a possibility of using them as biochemical markers of preharvest sprouting
