Abstract
A field experiment was carried out in the Experiment Station Zotniki near Poznan in Poland. The influence of sprinkler irrigation (non irrigated, irrigated), cultivar (Jawor, Skrzat and Sawko) and nitrogen fertilizer rates (0, 50, 100 and 150 kg N/ha) on the oats yield, yield components and nitrogen productivity was investigated. Grain yield was influenced by interaction of irrigation and nitrogen fertilization as well as irrigation and cultivar. Irrigation increased the panicle number and 1000-grain weight, while N fertilizer increased the panicle number and grain number in panicle for all cultivars. Nitrogen productivity was dependent on irrigation, cultivar and N fertilizer rate
