Abstract
A stable line, named Shannong 030-1, was obtained from the cross between the octoploid triticale cultivar Jinsong49 and octoploid tritileymus (Triticum x Leymus). Shannong 030-1 had 42 chromosomes, and 21 bivalents were observed at PMC (pollen mother cell) MI. Fluorescence in situ hybridization analysis using genomic DNAs from Secale cereale and L. mollis as probes revealed that Shannong 030-1 contained a pair of translocation chromosomes between rye and wheat, and had no genetic material from L. mollis. C-banding analysis showed that Shannong 030-1 is a translocation line of 1RS-1BL. This line showed immunity to powdery mildew
