The Plant Stress Molecular Biology Laboratory at the Louisiana State University Agricultural Center is looking for a young, self-motivated Postdoctoral Researcher/Research Associate to work on characterization of (a)biotic stress-responsive genes using gene editing and morpho-physiological and biochemical methods in monocot systems. Responsibilities will also include data collection in laboratory, greenhouse, and field settings as needed, publications in impactful journals, and presentations at scientific conferences.
Candidates with strong knowledge and skillset in basic and applied molecular biology techniques including but not limited to gene cloning, vector design/construction, and gene editing, as demonstrated by publications, are only encouraged to apply. Incumbents should be able to work independently as well as in a multicultural team environment. Candidates with less than three years of obtaining Ph.D. degree or at least three years of experience after M.S. degree will be given preference.
The position is available immediately and will be filled as soon as a suitable candidate is found. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
