As the GrainGenes curation team is curating genes from the Catalog of Gene Symbols for Wheat (WGC), we are creating interactive maps whenever possible.
These maps display the genes in their mapped locus positions and are added to the GrainGenes collection of maps to utilize in CMap, the comparative mapping tool.

New Maps September - October 2019
Wheat 2008, Coda x Brundage, C gene maps the C locus on 2D; the C (Triticum) gene in the Compactum gene class

Wheat 2008, Corrigin x CS(T2D), C gene maps the C locus on 2D; the C (Triticum) gene in the Compactum gene class

Wheat, P Gene, 2002 maps the P-A^pet^1 and P-A^pol^1 loci on 7A; the P1 (Triticum) gene is a synonym in the Elongated glume gene class.

Wheat, Branched spike gene, 2009 maps the mrs1(bh-D1) locus on 2D; the bh-D1 (Triticum) gene in the Branched spike gene class.

Durum Wheat, Anthocyanin, 2010 maps the following:

• Pc locus on 7B; the Pc (Triticum) gene in the Purple culm gene class.
• Pg locus on 2A; the Pg (Triticum) gene in the Purple glumes gene class.
• Plb locus on 7B; the Plb (Triticum) gene in the Purple leaf blade gene class.
• Pls locus on 7B; the Pc/Pls/Plb gene group. Pls (Triticum) is in the Purple auricles (purple leaf sheath) gene class.

Wheat, 2006, purple grain maps the following in the Purple grain/pericarp gene class:

• Pp1 locus on 7B; the Pp1 (Tritiucm) gene.
• Pp3a locus on 2A; the Pp3a allele of the Pp3 (Triticum) gene.
• Pp3b locus on 2A; the Pp3b allele of the Pp3 (Triticum) gene.

Wheat, 2002, coleoptile color maps the following loci in the Red/purple coleoptile gene class.

• Rc-A1 locus on 7A; the Rc-A1 (Triticum) gene.
• Rc-B1 locus on 7B; the Rc-B1 (Triticum) gene.
• Rc-D1 locus on 7D; the Rc-D1 (Triticum) gene.

Wheat, 2008, B Tolerance maps the Bo1 locus on 7BL; the Bo1 (Triticum) gene in the Boron tolerance gene class.

New Maps November - December 2019
Wheat, Cadmium 5B, 2010 maps the Cdu1 locus on 5B; the Cdu1 (Triticum) gene in the Cadmium update gene class.

New Maps February 2020
Wheat, 2013, Brittle culm maps the Brc5 (Triticum) locus in the Brittle culm gene class.
Note: This locus has been renamed 'brc5 (Triticum)' to differentiate it from the brc1 Hordeum locus, which refers to the barley 'Branched 1' gene.

• brc5 (Triticum) locus on 5A; mapping the Brc5 (Triticum) gene.

Wheat, 2012, Brittle culm maps the following loci in the Brittle culm gene class.
Note: These loci have been renamed 'brcx (Triticum)' to differentiate them from the brc1 Hordeum locus, which refers to the barley 'Branched 1' gene.

• brc1 (Triticum) locus on 6A; mapping the Brc1 (Triticum) gene.
• brc2 (Triticum) locus on 3A; mapping the Brc2 (Triticum) gene.
