GenBank JF965397 (Diaz et al., 2012). A comparison of Claire (vrn-A1a), Malacca (vrn-A1b) and Hereward (vrn-A1c) indicated that increasing gene copy number is associated with lateness (Diaz et al., 2012). Two winter alleles were identified based on an SNP in exon 4 (WGC, 2008).
