Previously reported as QGpc-ndsu-6Bb (Kaloshian et al. 1990; Groos et al. 2003)
(WGC Curator Note) Gpc-B1b, the functional allele in T. dicoccoides, affects senescence and maturity in addition to grain protein content, accelerating senescence and maturity. Gpc-B1 is a NAC transcription factor designated Nam-B1. A paralogous copy of this gene is present in homologous group 2 (Nam2) (Uauy pubs, 2006).
(WGC Curator Note) This allele was relatively frequent in Scandinavian and Finnish common wheats, landraces and spelts.
(Curator Note. VCB) This is a partial germplasm list. For a complete list of germplasm, please see the gene record at Komugi.
