Research Interest
I have created a system of structural (i.e. morphological and developmental) models of barley (using the virtual lab programme by Prusinkiewicz & coworkers). The output is twofold: first, a Java-based programme which enables the user to go from a gene map - via mouse clicks - to the ready-made 'plant' on the screen; the other one allows the user to choose a genotype from a panel, then to simulate the corresponding phenotype and receive it as an animation.
