Remarks	Evaluators: D. Reeves Conditions at this location were similar to those at the Minnesota locations with late planting and very little rain and cool weather following planting. Late rains had improved the oats and later varieties seemed to have benefited more from the recent rains. BYD was more severe at Brookings than at any other location we visited. Crown rust had not developed and should not cause damage. Yields in the Quaker nursery should be fair. We recorded notes on tertiary kernels and general appearance. Notes on tertiary kernels appeared to be quite good.
