Remark	RFLP analysis of 58 F2 individuals indicated that the shattering gene is located 9.9 cM distal to marker Xabg471 and 32.3 cM proximal to marker Xpsr1196, falling within the genomic region of Br1. The shattering gene is orthologous to Br1 and is designated as Br1-S1 (Li and Gill, 2006).
