Abstract
Genetic resistance to powdery mildew (Blumeria graminis f.sp. hordei (Erysiphe graminis f.sp. hordei)) of 28 Polish cultivars of spring barley from the Polish Official List was investigated. All cultivars have one or more genes for resistance in loci Mlg, Mla, M1La and mlo. Only the cultivars with mlo gene are resistant to powdery mildew population occurring in Poland
