Abstract
An efficient microprojectile bombardment-mediated transformation system was established for wheat cv. Yumai 18, an elite wheat cultivar that is newly cultivated in Henan for its wide adaptability. The transformation rate was as high as 3.7%. A total of 20 transgenic plants were obtained and confirmed by herbicide-resistance assays, PCR and PCR-Southern analysis
