Abstract	Antisense thioredoxin gene was introduced into wheat by biolistics. PCR and endonuclease digestion analysis showed that the gene was intact. Trx expression, as well as alpha -amylase activity and reduced sulfhydryl in water soluble protein:total protein and alcohol soluble protein:total protein ratios were lower in transgenic than normal seeds
