Abstract	Two experimental series differing with the quality of winter triticale ( Triticum x Secale ) seeding material used for the study were performed in 1986-98. In series I, the seeding material (super elite; control) was yearly purchased from the farmer. In series II, the same seeding material at super elite class from 1996 harvest stored in the Polish Centre of Plant Genetic Resources IHAR, Radzikow, was used each year. The results in both experimental series show a lack of significant differences on grain yield between super elite and subsequent reproductions. The values of yield components remained at similar levels in subsequent reproductions
