Protocol
Field inoculation was done by one of two methods: 1) Grain Spawn - colonized inoculum of corn seed was spread on the the soil surface, 2) Spray - macroconidial suspensions were sprayed on heads postanthesis. FHB severity was scored by percentage of infected kernals 18 to 21 days after inoculation
