At the Fourth International Barley Genetics Meeting in Edinburgh, it was decided to include a "Master List of Barley Genes" in subsequent issues of BGN. The first such list appeared in 1982 and an updated version in 1984. That submitted for BGN 15 was not printed due to insufficient funds.
Because of the long delay in publication of BGN 16, the delivered master gene list was withdrawn in 1987, and we have submitted our much revised and enlarged list, entitled "Barley: genes and chromosomes" to the Carlsberg Research Communications. It has been accepted and will be printed in the second issue of Volume 52 (1987) to appear at the end of May. If you have not already received a copy, let us know. The contents comprise:
We would be very grateful if you would send us your suggestions for revisions and inclusions to aid us in preparing future lists and maps.
