In this volume of the Barley Genetics Newsletter, J. Soule, I. Skodova, D. Kudrna, A. Kilian and A. Kleinhofs report on two multiovary mutants in barley. As illustrated in the cover photograph the mutant mo,,b has four normal looking pistils (bottom center and top) and two green leaf-like structures representing the lodicules (bottom left and right).
