A summary map of known stripe rust genes and QTL from the Maccaferri et al. (2015) genome-wide association study of stripe rust resistance in a diverse collection of hexaploid wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) is now available in the GrainGenes CMap viewer.

In collaboration with the International Wild Emmer Wheat Genome Sequencing Consortium, GrainGenes is providing pre-publication BLAST service for the Wild Emmer Genome Assembly (Zavitan WEWSeq v.1.0).

Mapping, marker, and sequence data from the Barley 9K iSelect SNP Chip is now available in GrainGenes. The array is from the Comadran et al. 2012 study. It contains 7,842 SNPs in total, including a combination of 2,832 existing barley OPA (POPA) SNPs and 5,010 new SNPs found through next-generation sequencing. In all, 3,968 of the SNP markers were genetically mapped.

QTL and phenotypic data from the Chao et al. 2015 study of pre-harvest sprouting in durum wheat are now available at GrainGenes. Chao et al. developed a population from a cross between Langdon and a deletion line, LDN(521-2B), and used it to identify two QTLs on chromosome 2B that are associated with seed dormancy.

Phenotype and mapping data from a genome-wide association study of stem rust resistance in durum wheat are available in the GrainGenes database prior to publication. A panel of 429 lines from the National Small Grains Collection were used in the study to evaluate the genetic diversity of durum wheat resistance to a variety of stem rust races. Several quantitative trait loci for seedling stage and adult plant resistance to a collection of stem rust races were identified. A number of the QTL are potentially novel genes.
